The
fee for the use of the Gay Head, East Chop or Edgartown Lighthouse is $300 per hour
In
1993, the Martha's Vineyard Museum assumed the care and maintenance of three of
the Island's treasured landmarks: the Edgartown Lighthouse, Gay Head Lighthouses,
and East Chop Lighthouse. The Museum encourages the use of these facilities for
private functions. The fee for the use of a Lighthouse is $300 per hour. When
figuring your time use, please calculate the anticipated time from "gate"
opening until "gate" closure. Such time would include the delivery and
prompt pickup of any chairs. To confirm your reservation, please complete the
Lighthouse
Reservation Rental Form and
return it with a deposit of $100.00. Reservation confirmations are on a "first-come,
first served" basis. The Museum can not confirm your reservation until we
receive the completed form along with your deposit. After your reservation has
been confirmed, the deposit becomes nonrefundable.
The
balance will be due no later than 30 days prior to the event. Please note: Tents
are not permitted on lighthouse grounds, so we strongly urge that you have a contingency
plan for inclement weather. If you are unable to use the lighthouse grounds due
to rain, the Museum will refund your money, less the deposit. >top Gay

You must complete the reservation form and
return it with a $100.00 nonrefundable deposit to the Martha's Vineyard Museum. Confirmation is done on a "first come, first-served" basis. Can
my guests go in the lighthouse?
Yes, after the ceremony. The lighthouse
keeper will be on hand and will open the lighthouse for
the private enjoyment of you and your guests.
